My Priorities.
-
Clean, Quiet, and Safe Neighborhoods.
I want Cypress to be an ideal place to raise a family by keeping our city clean, quiet, and safe. This means working with law enforcement to make sure our neighborhoods are safe and quiet, making sure our parks and environment are healthy and well-maintained, and our living spaces and public areas are clean and free of pollution.
-
Families First.
I believe the needs of our families comes first. This means maintaining excellent schools and after-school education programs, daycares for our younger kids, and other child care options.
-
New Restaurants and Businesses that Reflect Diversity.
I want to encourage and welcome new restaurants and businesses that reflect the diverse population that Cypress is becoming. It feels like every block in Cypress has the same kind of dining experience. I want Cypress to be a destination for new food venues and recreational experiences.
-
Create a Sense of Belonging for All.
Because of the pandemic, many Americans are feeling more isolated then ever before and don't have a sense of connection to their community. This is especially true for our younger families, our minority groups, and our older retirees who don't feel connected to the community. I want to make sure we have adequate mental health services for our children in schools, our public servants when working with the community, and our older residents. I would also like to introduce more diverse cultural events to our city to help bring back a sense of community to Cypress, one that celebrates our diversity of backgrounds, languages, and religions.
-
Accountability and Transparency.
Ensuring accountability and transparency within our city council is fundamental to promoting trust and maintaining integrity. I will ensure open communication with residents, regular updates, and accessible information.
